Chinese Culture Festival-Chinese Music Evening Held in Iran

On September 20, Chinese Culture Festival-Chinese Music Evening was held at the Tehran Music Museum. Mr. Ali Moradkhani, Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran, and Mr. Pang Sen, Ambassador of China to Iran, attended the event and addressed the audience. They emphasized that the Silk Road strongly promoted the exchanges and mutual learning of traditional folk music between the two countries, and expected deepening cooperation in this field under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, which will foster new highlights in the area of people-to-people exchanges. Musicians from China Federation of Literacy and Art Circles, China Musicians Association, Tehran Music Museum, Iranian National Symphony Orchestra as well as over 300 other guests attended the event.
 
Artists from Jiangsu Province of China performed classic works such as The Joyous Festival, Ambush from All Sides, Hundreds of Birds Worshiping the Phoenix, Ey Iran, which were warmly welcomed by the audiences.
 
Before the event, the delegation of Chinese artists visited University of Isfahan, and met with Dr. Tayebi, Vice Chancellor of the university, exchanging views on potential cooperation of folk music, and performed Chinese music for Iranian teachers and students.
