Xi Jinping Accepts Credentials from Eight Newly-appointed Ambassadors to China

On August 19, 2015, President Xi Jinping accepted credentials presented by eight newly-appointed Ambassadors to China at the Great Hall of the People. They are Fijian Ambassador to China Loane Naivalurua, Ambassador of Seychelles to China Vivianne Fock-Tave, Polish Ambassador to China Mirosław Gajewski, Italian Ambassador to China Ettore Francesco Sequi, Mauritians Ambassador to China Lee Hon Chong, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo to China Jean Charles Okoto Lolakombe, Zambian Ambassador to China Winnie Natala Chibesakundaand Danish Ambassador to China A. Carsten Damsagaard.

Xi Jinping welcomed them to assume the new posts in China and asked them to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to leaders and people of their respective countries. Xi Jinping spoke positively of China's friendly relations with their countries and expressed that China will continue to deepen traditional friendship and enhance practical cooperation with the countries so as to realize common development and prosperity. The Chinese government will provide convenience and support for the work of the Ambassadors and hopes that they will positively contribute to bilateral relations and people-to-people friendship between China and relevant countries.

The Ambassadors conveyed their leaders' sincere greetings to Xi Jinping and friendly wishes to the Chinese people and positively evaluated China's development achievements as well as its important role in international affairs. They said that their countries pay high attention to developing relations with China and they feel greatly honored to serve as ambassadors to China at present and will positively devote to friendship and cooperation between their countries and China.
