Delegation from China Foundation of International Studies and Academic Exchanges Paid Visit to Iran

    On April 10, 2005, a delegation from China Foundation of International Studies and Academic Exchanges (CFISAE), headed by chairman of the Foundation, former Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister and Ambassador to Japan, Mr. Xu Dunxin, paid visit to Iran at the invitation of Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran. Former Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister and Ambassador to Egypt, Mr. Yang Fuchang, former Ambassador to Lebanon, Mr. An Huihou and  former Ambassador to Iran, Mr. Hua Liming are among the members of this delegation.

             

    During the visit, the delegation met with Iranian deputy foreign minister for educational and research affairs, H.E. Mr. Moayyeri and with chief of the Academy for Middle East Strategic Researches, Mr. Saree'ol Ghalam. A round table discussion between the delegation, scholars from IPIS and officials from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was conducted. Diplomatic policies of China and Iran, regional issues and current status and future of China-Iran relations were among the topics of this discussion. Chinese Ambassador to Iran, H.E. Mr. Liu Zhentang also attended the discussion.
