Opening Ceremony of the Chinese Culture Festival Held in TMOCA

The Opening Ceremony of the Chinese Culture Festival was held in Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMOCA) on Sep 18. Mr Molanoroozi,Director of the Vision Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance;Mr Li Qianguang, Vice President of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) as well as Ambassador Pang Sen attended the ceremony and addressed the audience. They congratulated on the opening of the Festival, and hoped that the film and cultural industries of the two countries could further enhance their cooperation in order to promote better cultural understandings between the two peoples. After the ceremony, the Chinese film Wolf Totem was displayed. The Iranian audience showed great appreciation to the film and had friendly interactions with the film makers.

The Festival is hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Iran, CFLAC, China Film Association, Chinese Musicians Association, TMOCA, together with the Cultural Center of Milad Tower, Tehran Music Museum, University of Isfahan, Xinhua News Agency and the Islamic Republic News Agency of Iran. The Festival, which will end on Sep 25, will hold a series of events including the display of six Chinese outstanding films, workshop on Chinese and Iranian films, China-Iran photo exhibition and Chinese music concert.
