On October 9, Chinese Ambassador to Iran Cong Peiwu met with Iran's new Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Gharibabadi.

Ambassador Cong said that China and Iran share the same position on safeguarding international law, promoting and protecting human rights, and opposing unilateralism and hegemonism. China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Iran in relevant fields and continuously enrich the connotation of China-Iran relations. 

Gharibabadi said the importance of Iran-China relations is self-evident. Iran attaches great importance to China's important international influence and is willing to continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with China in the fields of legal, international affairs and so on.
