Notice on Airline Boarding Requirements for Certificates Of Negative Nucleic Acid and Anti-Body Blood Tests Results
2020-11-01 21:01

In order to reduce cross-border transmission of Covid-19, starting from 30, Oct, 2020, all Chinese and foreign passengers who are to fly from Iran to China will be required to take nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests and then apply for green health code with the “HS” mark or a certified health declaration form before boarding the flight. The specific requirements are as follows:

I. Test Requirements

(I) Passengers going to China via direct flights must take nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests within 48 hours before boarding. They must take the tests at a medical institution recognized by the Chinese Embassy in Iran and then apply at the Chinese Embassy in Iran for a green health code with the “HS” mark or a certified health declaration form with certificates of negative results of both tests.

(II) Passengers going to China via connecting flights must take nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests in the third country within 48 hours before boarding their flight to Iran and then take both tests again in Iran within 48 hours before boarding the plane to China. Passengers must apply at the Chinese Embassies/Consulates in BOTH countries for green health codes with the “HS” mark or certified health declaration forms with certificates of negative results of both tests.

Passengers must take the first nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests in the third country within 48 hours before boarding the flight and a negative certificate of nucleic acid and serum IgM anti-body test are required to be obtained.

Passengers must take the second nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests in Iran within 48 hours before boarding the flight and the negative certificate of nucleic acid and serum IgM anti-body test are required to be obtained.

(III) Passengers who are to fly to China from Iran via a third country must take the first nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests in Iran, take the second nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests in the third country. Passengers must apply at the Chinese Embassies/Consulates in BOTH countries for green health codes with the “HS” mark or certified health declaration forms with certificates of negative results of both tests.

Passengers must take the first nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests in Iran within 48 hours before boarding the flight and a negative certificate of nucleic acid and serum IgM anti-body test are required to be obtained.

Passengers must take the second nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests in the third country within 48 hours before boarding the flight and a negative certificate of nucleic acid and serum IgM anti-body test are required to be obtained.

(IV)Please check the list of local nucleic acid and serum anti-body testing institutions recognized by the Chinese Embassy in Iran on the Embassy's website > Consular Services > Notice, the information will be keep updated .

II. Chinese Passengers Applying for Green Health Code with the “HS” Mark

Chinese passengers must upload to the WeChat Health Code app photos of their negative nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests results, which will then be examined and verified by the Chinese Embassy in Iran. Then they will get the green health code with the “HS” mark. Passengers must present the green code within its validity period to the airlines flying directly to China before boarding.

III. Foreign Passengers Applying for Certified Health Declaration Form

In order to facilitate application to apply for a Health Declaration Form from the Chinese Embassy in Iran for foreign nationals, the applicant or agent may obtain a blank Health Declaration Form when he/she comes to Embassy to apply for Chinese visa, and submit the COVID-19 negative certificate, IgM anti-body negative certificates and duly signed Health Declaration Form to the Embassy when he/she comes to the Embassy to obtain the Chinese visa one day before the flight. The Embassy will issue the Health Declaration Form with the seal of the Embassy after examination.

For those foreign nationals who are holding a valid Chinese visa issued by Chinese Embassies and consulates after March 28, 2020 or are exempted from visa, please apply for the Health Declaration Form from us one day before the flight departs by the applicant or agent with COVID-19 negative certificates and IgM anti-body negative certificates.

IV. Reminder:

Please read the requirements carefully and follow them accordingly. Failures to obtain the green health code with the “HS” mark or a certified health declaration form with negative nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests results means you do not qualify for boarding the flight to China and will have to change your itinerary.

If you must go to China via connecting flights, please check the transit country’s entry regulations and its nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests requirements beforehand. Failure to enter the transit country or meet the requirements regarding the tests, the green code or certified health declaration form could result in being stranded and heightened infection risks.
