In order to further promote the exchange of Chinese and foreign personnel, Chinese visa and entry policies have been adjusted as follows since 00:00 March 15, 2023, Beijing time.

1.Visas issued before March 28, 2020 which are still within the validity period will be resumed effective for entry.

2.Chinese Embassy in Iran resumes the issuance of all categories of Chinese visa. For specific requirements, please refer to Guide to Chinese Visa Application.

3.Issuance of visa-on-arrival will be resumed on condition of statutory reasons.

4. Resume policies of visa-free entry to Hainan, visa-free entry to Shanghai on cruise ships, visa-free entry to Guangdong  Province in group from Hong Kong and Macau SARs, and visa-free entry to Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of ASEAN tourist groups.
